Established on a Southside Virginia
farm in 2004, Hidden Depot Farm Bed and Breakfast is a modern country home located on the trail of Lee's Retreat (General
Lee's route from Richmond and Petersburg on the way to surrender at Appomattox) and just a few minutes from the Saylor's Creek
Civil War Battlefield - the location of the last major battle in the Civil War. HDF B&B was created to provide comfortable
and informal bed and breakfast services and amenities to travelers interested in history, trains, country quiet, and Hampden
Sydney College and Longwood University. Just west of Amelia Court House, VA; and still close enough for points
of history and interest in Richmond, Petersburg and Lynchburg, Virginia.

Attractions include canoeing
and fishing in the lake; hiking or jogging the private hardwoods wildlife trails; bird and wild game watching; local Civil
War history (with special individualized tours available;) the Saylor's Creek Civil War Battle Field; great nearby
train watching locations and the Crewe Railroad Museum; and still have time for a hearty country breakfast with homemade delights
served on the porch overlooking the lake (when weather permits.) Enjoy our extensive library of Railroad and Model Railroad
videotapes, DVDs and books. With prior approval, also visit some of the local train layouts in the area. BRING YOUR
OWN O-GAUGE MODEL TRAINS AND RUN THEM ON THE "Flat Creek Railway!"
Rooms available at this full service bed and breakfast convenient
to Farmville, Crewe and Amelia are: a three room suite (Emily's Suite) with it's own private porch overlooking our lake; and,
